I find myself ducking as if toppled over by big boulders each time I hear someone directly bad mouth another or say a foul word towards me or another person. It may not always be something wholeheartedly meant but all the same affecting in some way. Some says it's just an expression, even to some just creating laughter around. All the same, they were bad words that we know that should not be uttered in front of a child...and for me, even in front of adults.
Rationale would be...why say it at all?
Maybe people just got used to hearing them more and more each day that it became so natural for the ears already. But vulgar words are still vulgar. It still is not appropriate to be heard if you wanted to be respected nor would you want to be measured lesser than another. Sophisticated people looks less sophisticated with one foul word out of his mouth, gentleman looks less of a gentleman, a lady less of a lady...so on and so forth. Why lower yourself down with such words when you can level up without them?God made us to worship Him. God gave us voices to sing for Him and to praise Him. He allows words out of our mouth not to slander, to bad mouth, to say foul words...BUT to utter words that will make us worthy of speaking at all. Let Him not think otherwise for He might take that gift of talking from you!
