First of, we have to know...WHAT IS VACCINE?
As defined by the encyclopedia, "vaccine is a biological preparation that improves immunity to a particular disease". Thus, if one wants to avoid getting the disease, he/she have to have immunity to it. Since vaccine have an agent that resembles that certain microorganism that causes the disease, the body was then given dose that will help identify it and destroy any that again may affect immune system.
Therefore, if one is exposed to possible infections to certain diseases, it is then advisable to be given vaccine for that microorganism. The same way, harmful bacteria's that may easily affect vulnerable individuals like children, geriatrics and sick people (those with low immune system) should be given appropriate vaccines.
