It seems that more and more people are getting aware of the benefits of diet and exercise to promote good health. I hear of “health freaks” and “health buffs” talk nonstop of eating this and that, walking, running, burning calories; words that have been constantly with me since belonging to the medical health team.
I started having interest on it years ago. I practice and give advice and lectures on proper diet, but guiltily have not had the time to do any routine exercise of my own. Now I am planning to, especially when I saw this treadmill at Online Sports Store. It comforts my fears of running in the neighborhood and meet face-to-face with dogs that are made to roam around by insensitive neighbors, be at eye level with the evilness of the world (the news of muggers, kidnappers, rapists reminds us to be careful) or have unfortunate accidents in the road like being run down by reckless drivers.
Treadmill definitely let me do what I have always wanted to do, lose those excess calories I take in, ensure myself of lowering the risk to having a heart problem since it runs in the family, give me more endurance to long walks and not make me pant every time I do, and firm up my muscles in the lower part of my body (buttocks, hips, thighs, and legs). Whichever type there is, it serve the same purpose for me, but I guess it will fit my preference better to have one that will save space, the folding treadmill. How about you?
It’s not only for you and me, kids also do need it. You may even say that they are overly exercised actually, LOL! But not every kid is. In this last century, kids are getting more and more into indoor games. Mostly, sit-down games that the incidence of childhood obesity is getting higher by the hour. They are more into computer games than physically running or jumping.
It is such a sad thing for me to see overly fat kids though they look cuddly and cute. In the medical field they are classified Malnourish. Malnourish can either be under-nourished or over-nourished, as defined as improper nutrition. And being one puts them more at risk to health problems since they are NOT at all healthy.
So all you parents out there: see to it that your kids get the right amount of exercise everyday. Limit their computer games and television times, or they will end up being couch potatoes and sickly.
Exercise is one of the key to a perfect health, diet being the other. And it is known to all, but then the problem is we are not motivated enough to start exercising and achieve good health.
The energy we take in through the calories from food should be burned, the process which we call Metabolism, else it will be stored up as fat. And it’s even as simple as standing up, instead of sitting down to burn it. So what more if you walk? Or run? Or use equipment? Remember that the more you eat, the more you need to move.
So get moving, and move in style. Get yourself this magnificent electric bike or electric cruiser that makes you want to stay in it all day long! You can adjust it as to how much pull you want, or to turn it off with a twist, pedal yourself and be at any pace that suits you…do whatever you want than not doing anything at all. Biking is one of the most popular forms of exercise since it is fun and fat burning in one. I hear your thoughts rambling, “I don’t have much space to keep it!” Truth be told it’s not such a space eater, but then there’s the so called folding electric bikes as well. We really have to thank such wonderful breakthroughs.
Exercise in any form, may it be cycling, walking, swimming…as long as you are enjoying what you do to make it almost effortless on your part, is good enough. Aerobic or anaerobic exercise both gives positive effects on our health. Aerobic includes those stated above, movements that utilizes oxygen to create energy; while anaerobic does not. Examples of which are weight lifting and resistance machines in the gym. One thing to remember is to always consult your physician before going into any form of exercise to ensure safety.
