When we hear of a person being fed through the tube or what we call tube feeding, we instantaneously think that the person is in grave situation. But then we just have to be aware that this way of feeding is a mere replacement of the natural way of eating. Since our goal is to get enough calories sufficient to keep us living, or that we keep on ingesting required nutrients to be in good health, tube feeding is being used at times that the person is incapable of doing so the natural or ordinary way of masticating and swallowing.
Like for instance, one of my grandpa’s (a brother to my real maternal grandpa), is presently being fed through the tube because he already sleeps most of his 24 hours thus not being able to eat or take his medicines. It is alarming to know that he is on tube but he is not in grave danger unless he is not nourished.
The same goes for other cases, like when there have been an operation in the oral cavity or down the throat that will last for more than a few days of recuperation and possibility of eating or swallowing, the patient will also be inserted with a tube. In extreme cases of accidents or comatose, it is likewise expected that the doctor will order tube feeding. There are many options though to insertions, could be through the nose or the stomach, depending on the need or the functioning pathway.

It’s like STILL EATING though not moving, CONTINUOUSLY EATING without tasting the food and COMPLETELY NOURISHED though not chewing or swallowing. FOOD THROUGH THE TUBE IS ONE OF THE BEST MEDICAL INTERVENTION.

Vegetarian does not necessarily mean its pure vegetables only in their diet. There are different kinds of vegetarian: lacto-vegetarian (veggies and milk/milk products), ovo-vegetarian (egg), pollo-vegetarian (chicken), combinations of these (lacto-ovo/ pollo-lacto-ovo, ovo-pollo, lacto-pollo) or pure vegan (veggies only). VEGETARIANISM arose as religious belief, economic, ethnic, ecological reasons or by choice.
The problem with this vegetarianism is when partaker is not aware of the risk for nutrient deficiency. Because with this diet pattern, sources to achieve complete nutrition is limited. It is then appropriate that sufficient knowledge with the food sources be gained. It is not as easy as ABC since there are a lot to lose without the protein coming from meat, poultry, fish, dairy, dairy products or all of them. One may get protein from vegetable sources but there should be proper combinations be able to get the so-called “complete protein” that our body needs. Complete protein in the sense that all essential amino acids are present; example of which are Tryptophan, leucine, valine…and many others.
Thus, before deciding to be a vegetarian, or if you are already one, try assessing your diet and know if you are consuming the right quality and quantity of food to make sure you are on the way to good health and not the other way around.

We all need vitamins, but we cannot take them all in with the food we eat daily. We may be meeting the daily requirement of some but not all. You probably eat Vitamin C rich fruit everyday to get the required amount and end up forgetting about the other vitamin and minerals that is also vital in ensuring good health. This insufficiency is eliminated with the intake of supplements. With this, you are definite to get what your body needs. And with the stressful life we are in, it is guaranteed that you need it.
The mere fact that we live in a fast pace of life is reason enough to believe that we are neglecting our bodies needs. We tend to settle on grab-a-bite snack times; and what more appropriate source than fast food. They are more laden with fat than nutrient. And where do we spend most of our time? Inside a building! We are there even before the sun rises and gets out after sun down. Or if not, we almost get out of the sun on a run. When then can we have Vitamin D for our Calcium absorption? Coffee and not milk serves as our beverage, again, our intake of Calcium is at a minimal level. So where can you then get those needed vitamins other than these supplements made for you.
Vitamins DO NOT make you fat! Vitamin B may increase your hunger pangs, but it is in your choice of food that makes you less than perfect. Again, vitamins do not make you fat, they make you healthy. We need to be healthy to be able to keep up with the fast pace we travel this path called life. We need to do it fast! And liquid vitamins can do that well than pop-up vitamins because they have 700% higher absorption rate.
