Three days, my daughter have been in the hospital. And I have to admit that my previous impression of "hospital foods" being bland, uninteresting and inedible have changed.
Having a Diet As Tolerated order from the doctor, the tray that came was passable for me (not always so for my 4 year old). They are tasty though as expected not as appreciable as that of a food in a restaurant. But then people differs in preference, so probably some other patients love it to be fair.
One thing I advice you though if in case you will one day find yourself confined in a hospital, you can call their dietary department (or the nurses can relay your message) and let them know of your likes and dislikes. They will try and please you, as they did when I requested them to give instead a Diet For Age tray so my little one can appreciate it more instead of it ending up to be mine and hers bought in a nearby food establishment.
