With the problem in global warming, we are all experiencing drastic climate changes. And here in the tropics, the intense heat is becoming more ad more of a problem. Not only to the health of every individual but also to the other living things. Plants included!
Rain is being prayed for as crops starts to wilt resulting to less and less crops, produce...or FOOD! I personally take more than 3 liters of water these days, and I just wonder how thirsty those plants are with not a single drop. I now appreciate the routine brown-out's or cutting off of electricity all over the country because I know the water level in our dams are truly not enough to supply both electricity and water for the whole country.
I was yet again reminded of this yesterday when I went out just a few hours after I watered the plants and found it all dry again. The news last night intensified my concern when thousands of acres of corn crops was shown wilted and the farmers can only make use of it as a fertilizer by burning them all and not as food. The same goes with some rice fields. Truly alarming, don't you think?
awww.. They need water all the time.. but do not pour water in the afternoon..=]
