How would you feel when the light that helps you find your way goes off?
You definitely will wish it back.
But since you know that there’s no way of putting it back on since battery life is over,
You need to go on without it as much as you can and
Just remember what it last let you see before it faded away.

That’s how it is for us brethren of the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo) now. We continue on with the path of life. That though we miss our guiding light, our Executive Minister Erano Manalo, who is now resting in peace, we hold on to his words, the strength of our belief, the foundation to which he is the reason, to live our goal of finishing our race (“matapos ang aming takbuhin”) and reach our destination of being with our Almighty God and Father in heaven.
We cannot blame those who have not known our Ka Erdy, or those who are not aware of who he is to the whole Iglesia Ni Cristo, for not understanding the loss that we feel and the pain we’re going through. It’s also forgivable to hear others not within the flock to utter words pertaining to either the brethren or the church, or even our Church Administration. Because they do not feel the love we have for our departed brother. His passing is being mourned the way anyone would at a death of a family member. We owe more than our life to him to have done so much for our souls and our salvation, for the dedication and inspiration that motivates us to serve God as he did, and for the selfless love he gave to us all That we somehow would want to return all that back by being with him for the last time in this lifetime, by heeding his advices and by being steadfast in our faith.
And so to all you dear friends, be aware that one of the most selfless thing he impel us to do…is to help YOU have this longing we brethren have in our hearts to be with the Father in heaven, to also find the inner peace we found even in this crazy world and to be filled with love eternally as promised to the body of Christ to which He is the head…those within the true church, the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo).
