WHO NEEDS DIET COUNSELLING?
People are turning into health buffs and this “diet” thing is a commonly heard term nowadays. Yes, there are the fad diets you see from magazines…or some trends that have been passed along through friends and connections. Easy enough, you hear it and then you apply it.
But don’t you know that dieting deserves to be treated a little more seriously? Not everyone can go into “any” diet routine they believe to be applicable to them, or what they think will work out, or what worked out for another. Going into something that will change your daily eating pattern, and in so saying, your whole system…need professional guidance. Most especially those who are not in their best health and those that are at the “at-risk-age”.
Nutritionists-Dietitians were the ones who are knowledgeable to prescribe diets in accordance to the doctor’s prescription or after a complete assessment of a person’s medical history and present status. A person’s diet is individualized and so we cannot copy another’s success to your possible success. That instead of reaching your goal you might end up going into plateau or getting sick. You might perceive yourself to be healthy when all the while you have that silent blood pressure increase, and an unguided weight loss regimen may burden your heart causing heart attack.
Consulting a professional can be way too thrifty in comparison to hospital bills.
