This is something that really makes me put up my hands…kids do have a lot of energy! My li’l Anya, for one, unbelievably can stay awake until the wee hours of the night. She hates sleeping. At 3, she avoids taking naps in the afternoon. She’ll be playing and playing all day if she can help it. Try as I might, even when she’s already tucked in bed and had her share of milk in her bottle, she just does not stop talking. She whispers to her all-time favorite Shoku (her doll), or kept singing songs, or makes her fingers walk at the railings of her toddler bed. Sometimes I get irritated, but often times I have to stop myself from smiling. I can’t let her see that I find it funny, right?
And even without naps, her energy just doesn’t wan…she can still go around jumping as we watch the sun sets. Can you believe that?! But mind you, she’s an adorable little thing…well, not really little because at age 3 (going 4 soon), she’s taller than those kids around the block aging 5-7…haha.
I just wish I still have that kind of energy…and not getting all sleepy at mid-afternoon.
