Since we are kids, we have been hearing of this "High Blood"...and we believe that it is very common to adults that most of the time it seems to be natural to have one.
BUT IT IS NOT AT ALL NATURAL!
Blood pressure (BP) is essential in our circulatory system, specifically the cardiovascular system. It is the FORCE needed for the blood to circulate in the body. It is a result of the hearts pumping. Abnormality within the system results to either LOW BP (hypotension) or HIGH BP (hypertension). Be reminded that either way, though common, is not normal.
We then have to make it normal. [120/90 BP is normal and for some 140/90 is appropriate] First, know that there are two main factors we have to look into:
"there's no one to blame but YOU!"
Seek the professionals for consultation before going on a sudden change in lifestyle, trying out a preferred diet or going through an exercise program. There are necessary precautions each one of us have to know. Physicians will give us the GO signal for the capabilities of our system. There are instances that you are not aware that your heart may be having difficulty already and going into a certain exercise may put you at risk. Dietitians will guide you through proper diet instructions to effect the proper weight loss. You might put your weight at a plateau instead of losing if you suddenly put off too much calories, or you may harm yourself instead of benefiting in the dieting. They are professionals and knows best.

- family history - if the previous generations have them

- stress and coping - stress is a culprit so we have to know how to deal with it
- smoking - every doctor says STOP SMOKING and you know it well
- sedentary lifestyle - keep moving and stop the habit of being a couch potato
- obesity - overweight and obesity is a common factor to a lot of disease, heart disease being the primary to it.
- food habits - as I always say: "excess of everything in not good" thus EXCESS FATS, EXCESS SUGAR, EXCESS SALT is a total no-no

Since vaccine have an agent that resembles that certain microorganism that causes the disease, the body was then given dose that will help identify it and destroy any that again may affect immune system.
Therefore, if one is exposed to possible infections to certain diseases, it is then advisable to be given vaccine for that microorganism. The same way, harmful bacteria's that may easily affect vulnerable individuals like children, geriatrics and sick people (those with low immune system) should be given appropriate vaccines.

But then we just have to be aware that this way of feeding is a mere replacement of the natural way of eating. Since our goal is to get enough calories sufficient to keep us living, or that we keep on ingesting required nutrients to be in good health, tube feeding is being used at times that the person is incapable of doing so the natural or ordinary way of masticating and swallowing.
Like for instance, one of my grandpa’s (a brother to my real maternal grandpa), is presently being fed through the tube because he already sleeps most of his 24 hours thus not being able to eat or take his medicines. It is alarming to know that he is on tube but he is not in grave danger unless he is not nourished.

We have different lifestyle, different preference, different activities, different up-bringing...we are all different. And so the diet of another, does not always go with another.
BUT that phrase above applies to all. Not as exaggerated perhaps, but more like it. Breakfast being the very first food intake that which we need to face the day head-on. should not be omitted, instead taken as full meal. We need sufficient calorie intake in right distribution to carbohydrates (or as in elementary education: go food), protein (grow) and fat (glow). Vitamins and minerals should also be in appropriate amounts to help us stay in good health. Supplements needed if our food choices does not ensure sufficient quantity. Lunch to keep us going and serves as the need to take in more fuel to avoid inability of car to move on. Dinner or supper need only be enough for us to complete the day and pull through without a hunger pang to be felt in the middle of the night. And snacks in between, I give them to increase metabolism. This helps in assuring your body that all energy taken in the main meals can be consumed and not stored since there will be another tiny meal to be taken in between. This will NOT make you gain weight provided that you EAT IN MODERATION.
Small but frequent feedings are more advisable than large seldom ones.

I hear myself saying "...just once in a while" a couple too many times already this past month. I just cannot resist the urge to splurge on a night out. And this is one of those times that I just have to EAAAATTTTTT! Can you resist anything like this? Yummy Pancit, spicy mini-buffalo wings, slices of pizza, clubhouse sandwich...and more actually. This may sound to be more of a home need, but this GOOD HOUSEKEEPING is more apt to be used in the work environment. It is a systematic approach good housekeeping. It helps in improving workplace as it promotes QUALITY, SAFETY, PRODUCTIVITY, and CLEAN ENVIRONMENT.
You probably noticed the 5 non-english words above. They are Japanese words. Yes, Japanese because 5S originated in Japan. And these 5 concepts are very popular in Japanese companies because with 5S their offices are clean and well-organized that which makes it safer to work at and makes it easier for every employee to do their work. It therefore is also a reason for the workers to be motivated. Japanese recognizes its powerful contribution to productivity and quality improvement.
SORT out what is needed and not needed. Discard whatever is not necessarily in the work place. Clear the place.
SET IN ORDER every little thing that is being used. Arrange them accordingly. Consider the ergonomics. Man versus machine locations. The safety of the people should definitely NOT be overlooked.
SHINE the place next to being speak and span. Remember "cleanliness is next to Godliness." Clean the place.
STANDARDIZE by designating appropriate places for everything. Put back where it is suppose to be found and not anywhere else.
SUSTAIN THE SELF DISCIPLINE and not wait for others to reprimand you. Live by example and train others to do so as well.
